I'm back after a while away.

Hello again,

I haven't been on here for a long time, life sometimes gets in the way. I thought I would post up some thoughts on writing since I have not done this for a long time.

Recently, I have been fascinated by films and script writing following studying script writing last year. When I watch films that are well written I am very impressed by the minimalism, the precision, the poignant way writers communicate their message through dialogue, action and through subtle filmic techniques. Today I thought of a new way to write a short story.

Watching the film Luther I was impressed by the dialogue and effective ways the director and the writers expressed this famous and pivotal person in the history of Western culture.

I have written two scripts and I am new to script writing. However, I like the difference this type of writing affords me. It is in a way, freeing to have to be more minimal than in prose. I would love to develop these techniques and I will be exploring this in the time to come.

Has anyone reading this, written a script or thought of writing a script? The techniques used in script writing can also help us to write short stories and novels in a more visually oriented way.

This is exciting in itself. Tell me your thoughts.
Kind Regards to you.
